Art on the Bay 2020 Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Public Safety Concerns

New Baltimore, MI – After speaking to key stakeholders regarding the interest of public health and safety, the Art on the Bay Board of Directors has decided to cancel the event for 2020.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all of the artists from all over the country as they prepared to showcase their work over the past year as well as our many sponsors who were primed to celebrate with us,” said Mike Wojciechowski, Board President.  “Our priority continues to be the health and safety of our volunteers, guests, and our entire community; as such, we are following the recommendations of the experts.”

For the last 10 years, Art on the Bay has hosted dozens of specialty artists, makers, foods, beverages, and other vendors in promotion of the lovely Downtown New Baltimore area’s values and identity – including its commitment to art, innovation, and healthy lifestyles.

“It is certainly disappointing, but it’s what we believe to be in the best interest of all involved,” stated Amanda Melkert (Treasurer).  “Attending an event would likely raise the risk of our entire community’s exposure to COVID-19, and we’d much rather err on the side of caution.”
